MetraAV ™ Showcases 8K AV Solutions at ISE 2022

Holly Hill, Fla. – MetraAV™ is excited to return to the 2022 Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) conference from May 10-13 with 8K solutions, HiFi audio cables, and HDMI® electronics on display. MetraAV will be at booth 2Q87 of the Fira de Barcelona’s Gran Via venue in Spain to showcase its newest products for 4K, 8K, and beyond. Solutions on display include Velox® premium audio cables, HDMI® extenders, switches and matrixes, audio extenders, and a wide range of 8K HDMI® cables and electronics. Attendees will get to see a first-hand look at the performance of MetraAV’s 8K Velox fiber cable, Ethereal MHX and MHY AV cables, and the latest 4K extenders, at the booth on a live 8K/HDR display.

MetraAV’s booth will showcase its award-winning Velox 8K fiber HDMI cable for the first time to ISE attendees. The EHV-HDG2 series cable supports 48Gbps up to 100 meters and is the longest of several HDMI cables designed by MetraAV that support 8K resolutions. All color subsampling is supported, including 4:4:4, 4:2:2, and 4:2:0, deep color, and Dynamic HDR, allowing the full-range 4K/120, 8K, and even 10K specs to be supported. Cutting-edge built-in technology also ensures compatibility between the source and display. It received a 2020 Residential Top New Technology award for the 100-meter model, the EHV-HDG2-100. Now, attendees will be able to see this cable in person at the booth, along with several other solutions for 8K connectivity.

Velox EHV-SPK series HiFi speaker cables designed for audiophiles will also be on display at ISE. First seen at CEDIA this year, the 12 gauge BFA terminated cables are designed to deliver the purest undegraded sound possible using premium materials and construction. They feature high purity oxygen-free copper with hundreds of tightly woven solid-core conductors for excellent conductivity. To allow better flexibility, cotton paper separates the PVC jacket and conductors and cotton yarn supports the twist shape design. The low-density polyethylene insulation for each conductor avoids adding bulk, allowing the woven, flexible outer jacket to protect the cable from wear and tear without making it too stiff for installation. The BFA terminations are 24K gold plated with anodized aluminum terminals, making them easy to identity within an AV system. These cables are now shipping in 2.44-meter, 3.05-meter, and 3.66-meter lengths.

HDMI electronics on display will include MetraAV’s latest 4K matrixes, including two HDBaseT matrixes with scaling, the CS-44MHDBTS and CS-88MHDBTS, and two quick-switching matrixes, the CS-44M and CS-88M. These matrixes are available in 4x4 or 8x8 options, support uncompressed 18Gbps on the HDMI outputs for 4K/60, and have pre-built drivers for most control systems. MetraAV’s HDBaseT HDMI extender that supports 4K/60 up to 120 meters, the CS-HDBT2UR-120, will also be at the show.

MetraAV’s next-generation solutions are designed for both commercial and residential use, as part of a rebranding effort that the company went through this year, changing its name from Metra Home Theater Group to MetraAV, now known as “The Integrator’s Choice™” for AV products. Its parent company, Metra Electronics, celebrates its 75th anniversary this year as a manufacturer of aftermarket automotive audio, lighting, and safety products.
